I am breeding Phyllium giganteum and have several times experienced males in my population. I have some theories concerning giganteum males that I would like to prove. Therefore if you are breeding giganteum and have or had males in your population I would like you to tell about it in this blog.

hi, im just starting to rear these any tips?
I am breeding Phyllium giganteum and have several times experienced males in my population. I have some theories concerning giganteum males that I would like to prove. Therefore if you are breeding giganteum and have or had males in your population I would like you to tell about it in this blog.
A few tips on giganteum
Environment
Keep humidity high I am using an old aquarium with only the small feeding triangle as ventilation. in my Exo Terra vívariums I cover most of the top with plastic to keep humidity.
Temperature must be more than 25 deg. during the day, I am achieving this by a lamp in some vivariums and in other I have a heating mat.
Food
In vintertime I am using mostly bramble, but I am growing oak and guava indoor as well.
In summertime I feed mostly American Red oak or other oak.
In springtime before the oak is ready and the bramble is very poor you can try with different kind of rose. But be careful garden owners tend to use pesticides against insects.
Water
Spray water once per day this is more important if you have problems keeping humidity high. But if the nymphs are drinking when you are spraying, they needed it.
Feel free to ask if You have more questions,
