I am breeding Phyllium giganteum and have several times experienced males in my population. I have some theories concerning giganteum males that I would like to prove. Therefore if you are breeding giganteum and have or had males in your population I would like you to tell about it in this blog.

Hatching E.tiaratum eggs
Hi everyone,
I am working on a research project investigating the reproduction in the spiny leaf insect E. tiaratum but my research is currently on hold because the eggs have stopped hatching. I need a system where I have eggs constantly hatching so I need to find a way to break the diapause. Currently I keep them in 26 degrees on pit moss and spray them every day. I would really appreciate tips on ways to break the diapause and hatching the eggs faster. Thanks, Yasaman
