Phasmid Study Group

A new phasmid videos section has been uploaded to the Phasmid Study Group website. If you have any more then please use our sumit content form.

A new video has been made available via the Phasmid study Group website, recorded by PSG member Mel Herbert for a previous meeting. It has been trasnferred from VHS and is now available to watch here: Phasmids of Badas Peat Swamp Forest.

The Phasmid Study Group website has today been upgraded to the latest version of the Scratchpad/Drupal software. Technically this is quite a challenge and a few areas of the site are not yet back to normal. We expect normal service to resume over the next few days.

There are several advantages to this new system. The site's internal phasmid taxonomy (used to organise the content) will be automatically imported at regular intervals from the Phasmida SpeciesFile, there are several usability improvements and we can now develop the site to include some interesting new content (more on that to come soon).

The PSG Winter Meeting will be on Staurday, 23rd January 2010. Further details to follow.

As part of on-going development work on the Phasmid Study Group website I have introduced a new interface for accessing PSG Publications. This provides a tidier and more asthetically pleasing way to browse. Not all publications have been moved to the new system yet, but a preview is available here: https://phasmid-study-group.org/en/category/PSG-Publications/1341.

The Natural History Museum orthoptera section is currently preparing for the move into Darwin Centre phase 2. As part of this process we are having a spring clean and we are offerring some old PSG Publications for sale that would otherwise take up valuable room and not be used.

We are asking for £3 for as many publications as you want. This covers postage with the remainder being a donation to the group. This offer will not be available again, as all stock will be recycled if not taken.
